Biofuels – what is the cost?

Recent personality events in the www.biofuelsforum.com and the resultant posts have created a thought where the idea of simple interaction is becoming complex.

With the removal of all bodily cues the written word becomes something that is looked at and interpreted in many ways – all dependant on the way you feel at the time [...]

The art of reading the manual

I have removed the obvious AV warnings at the end of my emails.

The delving into the AV programme was deep and fulfilling – even simple things come at a cost?

Ig No Moany of forums

Been a couple of days but here it comes.

The forums at Oztion  are a truly amazing place, with people, sellers and buyers all vying for the top position.

Irrelevants about specials and special requests and being away abound – why one would post this information into a public forum hoping that one of the 2 [...]

The joys of Forums and the complex issues of life

It is a process to watch where the annonymous life of a forum poster is suddenly bereft because of a self reporting system.

The Oztion – Aussie for Auction , forums are a place of interacting and different personalities.

There are those who post for fun with a blatant disregard for the aims and objectives [...]

The joy of simple humour

Recent events in the Oztion community forums have led me to reflect on the joy that is contained with simple and direct humour.

Marty Python and the Holy Grail still brings a smile to my face whenever I see ot hear bits of it.

Perhaps we are over complicating our lifes to the detriment of [...]

Is nuclear power an option?

It appears that there is going to be a major expansion of the nuclear industry.

As the cost of carbon fuels becomes more expensive and with the imposition of carbon offsetts and taxes the watts produced by nuclear is becoming cost effective – but is it?

While considerable spin is put on the “green” credentials [...]

Plastic bags and the real cost.

Interesting that this debate has now started again after a decision by China to ban similar bags.

Of course cost is always trotted out to make some political mileage – of course there is a cost and of course we all have to pay, the cries from Industry about impacts are another excuse for inactivity [...]

First sales into US (Texas) and UK

Finally modified a couple of auction sites with the option of sales into the UK and UK.

Had a sale into Texas and queries for bulk orders from both the UK and US. Perhaps www.telepoint.biz will go international

Will this heat exchanger heat my pool?

Just had this question put to me and it is indicative of the range of questions I have been getting about these stainless steel, copper brazed, heat exchange units.

Basically they can be used to heat anything (so long as it uses 2 liquids in the exchange). Pump hot water into 1 side and cold [...]

Still raining – 95mm last night

Weather is still wet here, 95mm last night and still going.

Just updated my 2007 raincharts and find the trend line for the last 10 years has moved up for the first time (global warming?)

The interesting thing, even though it was over a very short period is that the monthly distribution has chaned from [...]

Through the office window.

Maybe oil is up but the rain here is pleasant and cool.

I know that Lankeys Creek could do with a bit more as well.

Oil hits $100 US a barrel

Never been a better time to consider an alternative fuel for your vehicle.

With this barrier breached it is obvious, well at least to me, that the sky is the limit over the next few months.

Diesel prices in Port Macquarie are currently around $1.55 per litre so using the old rule of thumb they [...]

Cool and overcast, about 1 mm last night.

Tried expanding the area where I sell heat exchange and have made my first sale to Texas. Might have to expand the postage options at www.telepoint.biz

During this setup stage I have been looking at a number of posting options.

If you can see this message it actually means that the cron job I have setup to poll my email account has worked.

Another day in Paradise

20 deg, light showers (2 mm) this morning.

Watching firetail finches move through the garden – good stuff. At least the sick kadas are a bit quieter (so far) this morning, they are pretty bad this time of year. Hope the 7 year cycle theory is right – this is the 4th year in the [...]
