Heat exchanger and the cold oil filter

Running my vehicle on straight vegetable oil means that I filter the oil very thoroughly.

While a heat exchanger will melt any fats that are in the oil the main problem is getting that oil from the tank, through the fuel lines and into the heat exchanger .

Providing additional fuel pumps or larger diameter [...]

grey headed flying fox

just spent 30 minutes watching the Red Hill colony of the GHFF leaving the roost for the night of feeding.

I had been involved for a few years in number counts of this colony and for quite a while it appeared that the colony had been abandoned.

The colony was considered important as it was [...]

Open thanks to Opensource projects support.

After a couple of weeks of difficulty following recent host upgrades I “believe” I am finally back up and running correctly.

TO support at www.aussieHQ.com.au I really appreciate and thank you for your assistance – there is no way I would have resolved these issues myself.

Geoff

Only a few small issues remaining.

There are still a couple of pages (on the admin side) that are not working correctly and I have had to re install / upgrade the paypal module in the www.telepoint.biz shop – though this is related to the Osc setup rather then the recent events.

Geoff

Everything is back……….

And working even.

If it went down while I was away there has been a break of 7 days.

I have found it to be very difficult when trying to fix something when I do not have permissions to undertake some changes and have to deal with a support person – particularly when that support [...]

The world carries on

Still major compatibility issues.

2nd day and no further ahead

Geoff

Things are looking up a bit………….

The install of OSC went reasonably well with a new install complete and the old database imported.

Still a fair bit to get done with an upgrade of most images and a bringing across of all the modifications that I had previously done. Looks like from start to finish will be about 8 hours.

I [...]

Another day of wasted dreams

Looks like the fortune will have to wait a bit longer, incredibly slow response times from my host and when they do come the response is very poor.

I will have to revise my glowing past recommendation about them.

I have been with them since the Aussiehost days and have been excellent up to now.

[...]

another day gone……….

Major, or so to me, issues with this recent “upgrade”.

Just about everything, except this blog, have been broken in varying ways.

Osc is dead in the water and the adserver is in very poor condition, I am currently trying a clean install into a new subdomain to see if I can retrieve anything.

The [...]

PHP and mySQL

Well, my host company has just done a series of “upgrades

So far the upgrade to mySQL and PHP 5 has broken Osc and adserver.

Currently in a process of repair and angst as I do not know what problems I will encounter as I upgrade the current versions and whether or not this upgrade [...]

1 micron filter bags are a success!

There has been a lot of discussion lately on damge being done to IP and injection systems on vehicles running on high percenatges of straight vegetable oil SVO.

This has led to a bit of a run on 1 and 5 micron filterbags that I had not expected.

Far better I guess to over filter [...]

New Stock has arrived

Far from being complacent about linking a number of sites this is just an advice that 1 and 5 micron filter bags, as well as the “rippled” 30 plate heat exchangers are in stock.

See www.telepoint.biz

arrival of 20 & 30 plate heat exchangers + filter bags

Just got in a shipment of 20 and 30 plate rippled heat exchangers.

Also in stock are 1 and 5 micron filter bags.

All these items are used in the conversion of vehicles to run on vegetable oil or clean used cooking oil. UCO WVO SVO

The subtle days of rain

I have begun to understand why people use and then stop using forums.

The constant repetitive nature of individuals posts, the conceived breaking of forum rules for the purpose of advertising (or the genetics of being stupid)

To quote Julius

“Why is it so?”
