Use this flat plate exchanger to preheat vegetable oil as a biofuel prior to the filter and/or injection pump to improve viscosity and flow.
Using a standard fitting size of 1/2″ NPT threads you can select a barbed fitting to suit any hose line you may have.
The heat of the unit will not exceed the heat of the engine coolant if connected via the engine cooling system (radiator). If you are in a colder area it may be an advantage to consider 2 units, one before the filter and the second before the IP.
If you are running any vegetable oil system the installation of one of these may also assist more efficient running
The parallel layout of the sheets can make full use of the dead angles of the plate heat exchanger. Even if it is laid on its side the exchanger will still function very well.
Whether you require a 20 or 30 plate HE varies on a number of factors including your location, type of vehicle and type of fuel mix and use. I am happy to provide advice but if you have got this far I assume you have already done research.
