Telepoint was established in 2004.
Initially setup as a hobby, and still operating as such, Telepoint acquired an ABN and website after trying to understand the complexities and poorly defined information in the Australian Tax Office web site.
The information was so grey, that even though we thought with limited trading and dealing with specific specialised user groups we would be a hobby, our potential selling would leave us exposed when the ATO decided at some point in the future that we were not a hobby.
The experience has been a long and interesting one.
